The logistics platform built in Mantova for Adidas is the largest building created by Engineering 2K. With a total area of 175,000 m2, the facility benefits from an XXL storage area, 35 loading bays and offices of approximately 3,000 m2. The extraordinary size of this new distribution center will allow the brand to respond effectively to peaks in activity and supply 19 countries in Eastern and Southern Europe.
From an operational point of view, the Mantova center integrates numerous automated intralogistics equipment. With over 20 km of conveyor belts and 675 automatic shuttles, the warehouse’s parcel processing capacity can reach up to 375,000 per day. Last essential characteristic of this operation: the sustainability and carbon neutrality of the work. Thanks to the photovoltaic system installed on the roof which produces the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 3,000 homes, the platform operates entirely using the renewable energy generated on the site. The ecological impact of the building has allowed it to obtain LEED GOLD certification, one of the highest levels of this environmental brand.
